What happens to the mulch after my stump is removed?

If Treeaction provides you with our stump grinding service, you can expect the mulch from the stump to be available for your use on completion of the project. Mulch is amazing for garden beds, tree wells and composts. We do not haul away the mulch created from stump grinding operations.

When is payment due?

Payment is due on the completion of a job. We do not ask for any payment prior to commencing.

Are you insured?

Treeaction carries a one million dollar commercial liability insurance policy. This provides you with peace of mind and confidence in our workmanship.

Are there any protected trees on my property?

There are a number of different trees protected by tree removal laws, we will endeavour to provide you with our best knowledge regards to this or your local council will also be able to offer you more information.

What do I do about a tree that affects my property but that is on neighbour’s property?

You’ll need to discuss this with your neighbour to see if you can come to a mutual agreement, otherwise talking to your council is probably the best bet. Tree Action is unable to carry out work on trees that are not on privately owned property unless we’re contracted to do so by the council or property owner.

What do you do with the trees or chips that you take away?

This is a decision we leave up to you. Whether you prefer to keep the chips yourself or have us take them away, this is included in the cost that we quote.

Can I keep my tree for firewood? Will you cut it into logs for me?

If you decide you want Treeaction to remove a tree, you may choose to keep the trunk for firewood otherwise we’re happy to take it away. If you do decide to keep the trunk and want this chopped into firewood, it’s best to advise at the time of consultation, and this can then be added to your quote.

Do you give free quotes?

Yes, all customers receive a free no obligation quote and consultation.

If I cut branches myself, will this reduce the cost of your job?

This is unlikely to reduce our cost, especially if a firm quote has already been given. Our pricing structure is already incredibly competitive and we strongly recommend if you’re getting us to do the job, you may as well have the whole thing done professionally.

When is the best time of year to remove a tree?

Time of the year is irrelevant here. We will remove a tree at any time of the year, sunshine, wind or rain!

When is the best time of year to prune my trees?

The best time for pruning is generally the winter months when the tree is in a dormant state, however this varies widely depending on the species of tree and the condition that the tree is in.

Can I add items to the job after it has been quoted?

Yes, if you decide you want something else done on the day your job is due to be complete, let our team know when they arrive so they can do their best to organise this for you.
